Front Desk Receptionist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Front Desk Receptionist in Melbourne, FL. Seeking a candidate who creates a welcoming environment through a positive attitude and professional communication style. Dress code is business casual. Seeking a candidate who is professional and courteous, especially under pressure. This is not a high stress position, but there may be moments of some busyness, and utmost professionalism and respectful demeanor is imperative towards clients. This is an upscale work environment.
Must be comfortable with the weekly work schedule: (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday – 8:30am -7pm), which is a 40-hour work week.
Must be comfortable with passing Background check, Drug screen and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) report, which we would run all of these pre-employment screenings on our end.
Ideally seeking a candidate who has done this type of work before or takes initiative and has the capability to do this and everything else listed.
Worksite Location: Onsite in Melbourne, FL
Pay: $21-22/hour (DOE)
Type: Contract with potential for hire if it is a good fit
Responsibilities
The receptionist is primarily responsible for greeting and assisting all customers, guests, visitors, etc. This position will perform daily administrative functions, period back-up coverage for Administrative Assistant and additional clerical duties assigned by management to meet departmental goals.
Welcoming all visitors entering the facility, and arrange employee escorts as necessary.
Guides visitors by contacting the appropriate employee or department
Upholds security; ensures sign in logs are filled out (digital and electronically), issues temporary visitor badges when necessary
Maintains customer office and reception area by straightening if needed, ordering, and stocking supplies as well
Sort incoming mail for distribution to appropriate personnel
Aide internal/external customers as needed with car rentals, hotel reservations, order catering
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with unrestricted driving privileges.
Fluent in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
Must pass Background check, Drug screen and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) report.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel – basic computer knowledge.
Strong communication and phone etiquette.
Customer-focused with reliable attendance.
Solid computer and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and clients.
Work Environment & Requirements:
Primarily office-based with occasional visits to hangars or shop areas.
Must remain at the front desk during business hours unless on break.
Flexibility for overtime and varied hours as needed.
Demonstrates a warm, approachable demeanor with a professional and composed presence in all interactions.
Exhibits professionalism, courtesy, and a calm attitude when engaging with visitors, clients, and team members.
Maintains a friendly and poised manner, even in high-pressure or fast-paced situations.
Possesses strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Primarily a professional office environment
Occasional trips to company locations that are nearby
The receptionist must remain at the reception desk during normal business operating hours except when properly relieved from breaks and or lunch periods
Must be able to work overtime and flexible hours is required
***TRAINING would be MONDAY– FRIDAY.
