LHH is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Support Specialist. This role provides support to various functional areas of human resources, including recruiting, labor relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and coordinating various paperwork, gathering information, preparing reports, and maintaining and distributing current employee information and other communications.
This is an onsite (Milton, PA), W2 contract role with potential to convert FT.
Job Description:
As a Human Resources Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing workforce management, benefits, payroll, and related HR process information and guidance to employees, former employees, managers, and human resources partners. Additionally, you will process the company's HR transactions, provide functional support for various HR systems and policies, administer the company's employee benefit plans, and support the processing of payroll for the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
Contact Center:
· Provide high-touch customer service that meets expected service levels and business performance goals through telephone, email, and case management systems.
· Support employees and managers with HR, payroll, and benefits transactions, including first contact support for HRIS systems (Workday).
Administration Support:
· Process and enter timely and accurate confidential employee information and changes in the HRIS (Workday), including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, leave of absences, benefit enrollments, direct deposits, general deductions, etc.
· Administer employee benefit plans such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Wellness, and other programs as implemented.
· Support the integrity of employee records and Workday data.
General:
· Support team members from all functional areas.
· Identify, suggest, document, and implement ongoing process improvements.
· Assess inquiries or reported issues to determine the best method of resolution.
· Work collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key HR processes.
· Identify and report any call trends or product trends to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
· Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen.
· Collect information to understand and assess the client's needs and situation.
· Coach callers on the use of self-service.
· Assign inquiries to appropriate functional specialists if not resolved at first contact.
· Utilize case management systems to support issue resolution or case escalation.
· Document inquiries and escalate to other parties as necessary, providing warm transfers of calls to the next tier or third-party vendor if appropriate.
· Provide follow-up communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and ticket resolution, including documenting customer contact information and notes.
· Provide feedback on customer issues and the case management system so that management can address and improve the items.
Position Qualifications:
· High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in an applicable field preferred.
· 1+ years of experience in an HR-related field.
· Demonstrated broad HR/Payroll/Benefits knowledge, providing customers with relevant information, policy explanation, and navigation support.
· Customer service and call center experience preferred; previous experience in a centralized HR Shared Service environment is a plus.
· Experience with PeopleSoft, Workday, or other HRIS.
· Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to others in an empathetic and helpful manner.
· Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
· Basic analytical and system navigation skills.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Self-motivated and independent problem-solving ability.
· Spanish speaking skills desired.
· Detail-oriented approach to gathering and maintaining information and data, with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Ability to work in a change-filled environment and manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
