LHH is actively seeking a Business Systems Analyst for one of our top clients in Virginia! This will be a 100% remote long term contract opportunity with our client with potential to convert.

Business Systems Analyst

Job Overview

The Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting the implementation and optimization of enterprise business applications across multiple business units. This role works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze current processes, define future-state operating models, and support the implementation of new systems and technologies.

The Business Systems Analyst collaborates with business leaders, product managers, and technical teams to improve operational efficiency, configure systems, and ensure successful adoption of new technology solutions that support product lifecycle management, data governance, and business operations.


Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder engagement, interviews, and workshops.

  • Research user needs, costs, and benefits to support solution evaluation and demand management processes.

  • Document current business processes and identify opportunities for improvements or new processes.

  • Analyze technical and operational factors including workflows, data inputs/outputs, and system integrations.

  • Evaluate the potential impact of new software and process changes across the organization.

  • Facilitate group discussions and working sessions to define and refine requirements.

System Implementation & Configuration

  • Support the selection and implementation of enterprise business applications.

  • Configure and maintain software systems and other technological aspects of business processes.

  • Develop configuration documentation and obtain approval from product managers and business owners.

  • Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks to meet project timelines.

Testing & Deployment

  • Develop and execute unit and functional test cases.

  • Create user testing scenarios and validate system functionality during testing phases.

  • Support system demonstrations, training sessions, and the development or review of training materials.

Operations & Support

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to production systems.

  • Provide advanced support for system-related issues and coordinate with technical teams as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective system usage and process alignment.

  • Participate in team meetings and communicate project updates or concerns to leadership.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in information technology, systems analysis, or business analysis

  • Experience working with enterprise platforms such as ERP, PIM/PXM, DAM, or related product data systems

  • Experience with product lifecycle management, data governance, data migration, and regulatory product data

  • Familiarity with GS1/UPC creation and product data standards

  • Experience working on complex projects using Agile methodologies

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work across multiple complex projects

  • Data-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement

  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working in dynamic environments

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate requirements discussions

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

  • Experience with process mapping and collaboration tools such as Visio or Miro

  • Understanding of application integration methods and data mapping processes

  • Knowledge of ERP, PIM/PXM, DAM, or PLM solution selection and implementation is a plus


Additional Capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams

  • Strong presentation skills in both small and large group settings

  • Effective listener with strong situational awareness

  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment



Pay Details: $45.00 to $52.00 per hour
