Location: Hybrid – Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 Schedule: Remote on Mondays and Fridays; in-office Tuesday through Thursday (9 AM–3 PM core hours; flexible start/end times).

About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee industrial construction projects, primarily in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and leadership abilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities


Project Management & Execution:



  • Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.


  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.


  • Monitor progress to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets, resolving issues proactively.


Team Leadership:



  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and teams to ensure safe and efficient task completion.


  • Facilitate project meetings to align all stakeholders on goals and progress.


Financial Oversight:



  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.


  • Oversee procurement processes for materials and equipment.


Risk Mitigation:



  • Identify potential risks and create strategies to minimize impacts on project success.


Quality Assurance:



  • Conduct site inspections to confirm compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.


Stakeholder Communication:



  • Act as the primary contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.


  • Provide regular updates on project status to all relevant parties.


Qualifications


Required Skills:



  • Advanced Excel user with knowledge of Power BI for project analysis.


  • Proven experience in construction project management with a focus on oil and gas industries.


  • Strong track record of managing estimates, budgets, and forecasting project financials.


Experience Requirements:



  • Familiarity with the pull-planning scheduling process.


  • Strong contract negotiation skills.


  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant project management experience.


Preferred Skills:



  • PMP certification is not required.
