Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Supervisor to support the Finance team with accounting and fiscal management functions. This new role was created to meet expanded departmental needs and will be key in budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, procurement, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong accounting expertise, leadership skills, and experience in government or public finance.

This is a temp-to-hire position, standard work hours. The pay range for this role is between $35.00-40.00 an hour.

Responsibilities:

· Assist the Finance Officer in managing financial accounting, budgeting, and procurement functions

· Develop, implement, and monitor accounting systems and internal controls

· Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements

· Review and approve expenditures, obligations, and invoices

· Oversee payroll processing and day-to-day budget operations

· Provide presentations and financial updates to the Executive Team

· Supervise and evaluate staff performance, attendance, and training

· Ensure accuracy of timesheets, overtime documentation, and compliance with organizational policies

· Support the preparation of annual budgets and assist with audits

· Coordinate with procurement and other administrative teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency

· Maintain confidentiality of financial information and support continuous process improvement

· Travel to off-site locations to carry out assigned responsibilities

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· 5 years of accounting experience (government experience preferred) OR Master’s degree in Accounting

· 4 years of accounting experience (government experience preferred)

· Supervisory experience highly preferred

· CPA designation preferred

· Strong understanding of governmental or fund accounting principles

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

· Proficiency with accounting software
