About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer with deep expertise in proactive threat hunting and the Microsoft security ecosystem. This role focuses on active detection, investigation, and mitigation of sophisticated threats across cloud and endpoint environments. The ideal candidate is an experienced security engineer with advanced hands-on capabilities in Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Azure Security Center, and MXDR operations.
Required Qualifications
Core Experience
4+ years experience working under the title Senior Security Engineer
4+ years of active threat hunting, proactively searching for potential attacks rather than relying on reactive alerts
4+ years of hands-on experience with:
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
Azure Security Center
Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager
3+ years of experience with Microsoft security technologies such as Purview Information Protection
4+ years of experience with Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR)
Strong communication skills rated 9/10 or higher
Must be fully understandable and have 10/10 English comprehension
Accents welcome
Microsoft Security Ecosystem
Experience using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Azure Security Center, and Microsoft 365 security tools to:
Identify vulnerabilities
Mitigate threats
Strengthen organizational security postures
Certifications (Required but Flexible)
The following certifications are a plus; candidates with one or more are strongly preferred:
OSCP, OSWE, CISSP, CEH, GPEN
AZ‑500 (Azure Security Engineer)
SC‑200 (Security Operations Analyst)
SC‑300 (Identity and Access Administrator)
Very Nice to Have
2+ years of experience with red team/blue team exercises
2+ years experience evaluating, influencing, or recommending technology strategy or product direction
Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
