Job Posting: Leasing Agent (Bilingual – Spanish) | East Palo Alto | Temporary through January 2026


Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Location: East Palo Alto, CA Duration: Temporary (through January 2026) Preferred Experience: Tax Credit & Affordable Housing Experience a Plus


Pay Range $26-28 per hour


We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish-English) Leasing Agent to join our team in East Palo Alto. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail while assisting prospective and current residents. Experience in tax credit and affordable housing is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:



  • Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner


  • Greet and assist applicants, residents, and vendors


  • Support the Community Manager and/or Leasing Director with marketing efforts (mailing materials, tracking efforts)


  • Meet with prospective tenants and provide unit tours


  • Accept, review, and ensure rental applications are completed accurately


  • Assist in pre-application entry into the waitlist system


  • Contact waitlisted applicants for vacant units and track responses


  • Schedule certification appointments and collect necessary documentation


  • Initiate background screening and application approvals


  • Receive and process resident work orders, maintaining the Work Order Logbook


  • Assist in preparing and delivering general notices as needed


  • Collect rent payments and security deposits under supervision


  • Maintain accurate resident files and documentation


  • Help coordinate resident social functions and community communications

Requirements:


Fluent in Spanish & English (Required)

✅ Prior experience in leasing, property management, or customer service preferred


✅ Knowledge of Tax Credit & Affordable Housing (a plus)


✅ Strong communication and organizational skills


✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
