LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a construction company near North Phoenix. This organization is in search of a full time Bilingual HR Generalist to support some of their job sites and projects. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday and will require some flexible hours. The salary range is between $60,000-$75,000 DOE.
This role will work closely with Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Managers to ensure workforce readiness, compliance, safety alignment, and strong employee support for both field crews and office staff.
This is not a desk-only HR role — you will be regularly present on job sites, building relationships with crews, assisting leadership with workforce planning, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Job Site & Field Support
- Partner directly with Foremen and Project Managers to support workforce planning, headcount needs, and crew assignments
- Serve as the primary bilingual HR point of contact for field employees
- Conduct onsite orientations, safety documentation review, and new hire onboarding
- Ensure proper completion of I-9s, certifications, licensing, and compliance documentation
- Support enforcement of company policies and safety standards on job sites
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Address employee concerns, performance issues, and workplace conflicts in partnership with site leadership
- Guide Foremen and Project Managers on coaching, documentation, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Arizona labor laws, including wage and hour regulations
- Assist with workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work coordination
Recruiting & Workforce Management
- Support full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades, laborers, equipment operators, and project support staff
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings and onboarding requirements
- Help maintain a steady pipeline of qualified field talent to meet project deadlines
HR Operations
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Support benefits enrollment and employee questions
- Assist with timekeeping audits and payroll coordination for field employees
- Promote a positive, safety-first culture across job sites
Qualifications
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience supporting hourly or field-based workforces
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- Experience partnering with operational leaders such as Foremen, Superintendents, or Project Managers
- Strong knowledge of Arizona labor laws and HR compliance
- Comfortable working in active construction environments
- Strong conflict resolution, organization, and communication skills
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
