HR Generalist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a company in North Phoenix who is in search of a HR Generalist to join their team. This role reports directly into the HR Director, and is fully onsite Monday-Friday. The salary range is between $60,000-$72,000.
The Human Resources Generalist performs a wide range of HR functions at a professional level and works closely with senior HR leadership to support organizational initiatives. This role has primary responsibility in key functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS management.
Essential Functions
Execute the onboarding process for all employees, including pre-employment preparation, new hire orientation, and HRIS system setup and maintenance
Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HSA, and ancillary benefits, and manage the annual open enrollment process
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations
Conduct monthly billing reconciliations for all insurance programs and submit timely documentation to Finance for payment processing
Maintain compliance with EEO and OSHA requirements, including filing the annual EEO-1 report and maintaining required records, reports, and logs
Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory updates, and employment law changes
Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and managers, escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate
Manage all aspects of the HRIS, including employee data, compensation, benefits, time-off accruals, and reporting
Support the Director with annual audits and ongoing compliance responsibilities
Partner closely with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation, deductions, garnishments, and related payroll data
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience
Hands-on experience with UKG (UltiPro) for HRIS, benefits, timekeeping, and reporting strongly preferred
Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements
Experience administering employee benefits and managing open enrollment processes
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
