LHH Recruitment is working with a corporate retailer in Phoenix who is in search of a contract space planner to join their team. This role is expected to last about 6 months, but may have potential for permanent employment. This role is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Once trained, there may be some hybrid flexibility
Duties:
- Develop, communicate, and implement actionable recommendations that enhance customer-centric strategies and localized merchandising approaches.
- Lead the visual merchandising strategy for assigned product categories, ensuring alignment with customer decision-making patterns such as pricing, brand preferences, and product features.
- Build and maintain planograms within JDA (or equivalent software), ensuring accuracy and adherence to visual merchandising standards and best practices for smooth in-store execution.
- Collaborate with buying, financial planning, and inventory allocation teams to align merchandising plans with overarching category strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners—such as store operations, marketing, pricing, and fixture teams—to align on strategy development and in-store implementation.
- Oversee and update merchandising displays within a simulated store environment to support reviews with leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all category resets meet established timelines and quality standards, conducting audits to confirm execution excellence across store locations.
- Clearly communicate category reset strategies and execution guidelines through detailed planograms and documentation, ensuring field teams understand both the “why” and “how” behind each merchandising initiative.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree required
- Previous retail merchandising or planogram experience much preferred!
- Intermediate Excel experience, as well as space planning system knowledge
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment and build relationships, trust and rapport quickly.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
