About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, performing general ledger activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is eager to learn, and is committed to maintaining high standards of financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month-end adjustments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized general ledger documentation.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and variance analyses for management.
  • Assist with audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger functions.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in multi-entity or multi-state accounting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Audit support or public accounting experience is a plus.


Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
