Our Client is strengthening its field operations function and seeking multiple Field Construction Coordinators to support critical transmission and distribution infrastructure programs across Upstate New York. This role provides hands-on oversight of field execution, contractor performance, and quality assurance for structure inspection, restoration, and targeted upgrade projects. The position requires strong technical judgment, field coordination capabilities, and an ability to drive operational excellence across multiple service areas.
What You Will Oversee
Facilitate and lead job start meetings across assigned divisions, establishing scope, expectations, and safety alignment on pole inspection & treatment, wood pole restoration, steel structure inspection, and insulator replacement activities.
Coordinate service-center kickoff sessions, ensuring full engagement from contractor inspectors, supervisors, and internal stakeholders.
Provide technical specifications, support material coordination, and respond to field inquiries to maintain schedule continuity and compliance.
Identify and report hazardous conditions while ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct field-based QA/QC for C-Truss installations and wood pole restoration, validating contractor performance against engineering and construction standards.
Support documentation, reporting, and field recordkeeping aligned with project controls and quality expectations.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred; associate degree with three years of relevant experience required.
Hands-on understanding of utility construction practices for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
Working familiarity with regulatory frameworks including OSHA, NESC, NEC, and applicable industry codes.
Capability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and apply technical judgment in field conditions.
Demonstrated decision-making ability in dynamic or emergency-response scenarios.
Knowledge of budget preparation, bid administration, and contractor performance management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to produce accurate correspondence, reports, and operational documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is a plus.
Commitment to safety best practices and field compliance.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel routinely to field sites and attend required meetings.
