Systems Administrator (Onsite – Pleasanton, CA)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: Up to $45.67/hour
We’re seeking a Systems Administrator with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working onsite, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and helping modernize systems and workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with peers across IT to maintain a stable, secure, and efficient environment for end users and business operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform daily administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Exchange, and Group Policy.
Manage Microsoft 365 tenant administration, user provisioning, and license management.
Administer VMware ESXi/vSphere environments, including patching, upgrades, and performance optimization.
Maintain and troubleshoot network equipment (Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls; Palo Alto preferred).
Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and contribute to hybrid cloud projects and migrations.
Support enterprise storage/SAN systems, backups, and restores.
Provide Tier II–III escalation support for help desk tickets, including endpoint installation and maintenance.
Participate in IT projects such as SIEM logging, automation, and security policy updates.
Coordinate with vendors, maintain IT asset inventory, and contribute to documentation and process improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of 3 years of Systems Administration experience (Windows Server, virtualization, and networking).
Strong experience with O365, VMware ESXi/vSphere, AD, DNS/DHCP, Exchange, and Group Policy.
Azure Administrator experience required.
Familiarity with Cisco switches and/or Palo Alto firewalls.
Experience managing enterprise storage/SAN and backup/restore processes.
Ability to install and move hardware within data centers, network closets, and end-user areas.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Certifications such as VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, CompTIA, or ITIL are a plus.
