Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established regional law firm to identify a Docketing Specialist to support a multi-office litigation practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and has strong experience with court calendaring and rule analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain litigation deadlines in docketing software
- Review court documents and docket requests to determine appropriate calendaring under applicable court rules
- Update, modify, and remove outdated docket entries as needed
- Generate routine and ad hoc docket reports for attorneys and staff
- Maintain accurate records of completed work within document management systems
- Support multiple practice areas, with a primary focus on litigation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably within litigation or docketing
- Experience with docketing software (CompuLaw or similar systems preferred)
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, including civil, bankruptcy, and appellate procedures
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and data-entry skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate professionally with attorneys and legal staff
