Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established Pacific Northwest law firm to hire an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for their Portland office. This role provides high-level administrative and litigation support to attorneys in a dynamic employment law practice group. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting litigation matters and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
This firm offers a collaborative culture, professional growth opportunities, and a hybrid work schedule (in-office Tuesday–Thursday; remote Monday and Friday).
Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys and paralegals on employment litigation and advisory matters
- Prepare, edit, format, and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules
- Manage electronic filing in Oregon and Washington state courts, federal courts, and appellate courts
- Draft and submit filings to administrative agencies including BOLI and EEOC
- Verify legal citations and references using appropriate tools and citation guidelines
- Maintain organized electronic files and assist with matter opening and closing procedures
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal assistant experience supporting litigation matters
- Experience with state, federal, and appellate e-filing (Oregon and/or Washington preferred)
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, deadlines, and case management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
