Schedule: Hybrid - 2 days in-office/3 remote after training period
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 DOE

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Portland law firm that is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant with at least 3 years of civil litigation experience in the state of Oregon. This role provides direct support to a high-volume desk focused on medical malpractice and complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing litigation workflows, court deadlines, and trial preparation with minimal oversight
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and file legal documents with state and federal courts, with emphasis on Oregon e-filing procedures
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings
- Track and maintain litigation deadlines through docketing and calendaring systems
- Support trial preparation, including assembling trial notebooks, organizing exhibits, and coordinating logistics
- Open new matters and maintain case organization within the firm’s document management system
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with attorneys regarding filings, deadlines, and court requirements
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in filings and documentation to avoid critical errors
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of legal assistant experience in civil litigation
- Strong knowledge of civil rules of procedure in Oregon
- Washington e-filing experience is a plus
- Trial and trial preparation experience required
- Experience with electronic filing and document management systems (ProLaw experience preferred)
- Strong proficiency in docketing, calendaring, and deadline management
- Ability to work independently while managing a high-volume workload with accuracy
- Experience in medical malpractice or complex litigation preferred but not required
Benefits:
- Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid medical and dental premiums for employee-only coverage (Regence). The firm also pays the $3,750 deductible. Dependent coverage is 60% employer-paid
- Life Insurance: Two times annual salary plus $10,000
- FSA: Medical, dependent care, and commuter spending accounts available
- 401(k): Immediate eligibility with a 3% safe harbor employer contribution and discretionary profit sharing after one year and 1,000 hours worked
