Agile Coach II - Remote

LHH is working with a client based in Chicago that is looking to hire an Agile Coach to join our team for a 9+ month project. The role will be 100% remote. This person should ideally have a background as an Agile Project Manager and has either 2 years of Agile Coaching or 5 years as a ScrumMaster to be considered.

  • Candidates MUST be willing to work as a W2 employee of LHH to be considered for this role.

Location: Remote is optional but local to Chicago is preferred

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

  • Enables the transition to Agile by empowering teams to develop an Agile framework and to implement Agile processes

  • Coaches multiple teams to establish and communicate the team’s increment and sprint calendars

  • Coaches Product Owners in facilitating sprint planning, refinement sessions and product reviews.

  • Mentors POs in using advanced techniques such as user story mapping, sprint and PI objectives creation.

  • Coaches Scrum Masters in facilitating Agile ceremonies such as retrospectives & daily standups.

  • Mentors SMs in advanced techniques such as Coach Sync, PI planning, and System Demo preparation.

  • Coaches managers, leaders and stakeholders in SAFe and Agile practices Coaches teams in escalating and monitoring team and organizational impediments

  • Teach and coaches teams in feature and story creation and estimation techniques

  • Helps establish governing policies to support Agile-based approaches

  • Defines a measurement system by identifying relevant metrics using agile management software; i.e. Jira Applies system thinking to expose bottlenecks.

  • Promotes and advocates a culture of continuous improvement.

  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Champion for the adoption of new Agile technologies and methodologies

  • Highly collaborative with good conflict resolutions skills

  • Proven ability to enact change quickly

  • Ability to develop team members by inspiring, encouraging and providing constructive feedback

  • Solid leadership skills

  • Proven ability to work directly with Product Management, business stakeholders, Architects, and technical/product teams

Education:
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.

  • Scaled Practice Consultant (SPC) certification required

  • Typically a minimum of seven years of related work experience with at least two years as an Agile coach or five years as a Scrum Master/Release

  • Train Engineer Experience with insurance or finance based products

  • Successful track record with Agile and SAFe methodologies Applicable certifications preferred – SA, SSM, CSM, CTC

  • Typically a minimum of two years of working with Jira software



Pay Details: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour
