We are seeking an experienced Contract Tax Preparer to support a busy tax office in Richmond, VA. This role is 100% onsite and ideal for a tax professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and has hands-on experience using Pro Suite tax software.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual and/or small business tax returns accurately and efficiently
  • Review financial documents and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
  • Utilize Pro Suite to prepare, review, and file tax returns
  • Identify potential tax savings and ensure proper documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
  • Collaborate with internal staff to meet tax season deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Tax Preparer
  • Pro Suite experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of individual tax preparation (business returns a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work onsite in a Richmond, VA office during standard business hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior contract or seasonal tax preparation experience
  • Experience working in a public accounting or tax services environment
  • Ability to manage a high volume of returns during peak periods
