Office Assistant (Temporary)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant for a temporary, on-site role in Richmond, VA. This position supports daily office operations and provides front-desk and facilities-related assistance in a professional office environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a variety of administrative and office support tasks.


Position Details

  • Title: Office Assistant

  • Employment Type: Temporary

  • Dates Needed: ASAP – May 1, 2026

  • Location: Richmond, VA 23219 M - F 8am to 5pm

  • Pay Rate: $23hr


Key Responsibilities

  • Send, receive, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages

  • Scan, process, and electronically send documents

  • Create labels and nametags; perform light word processing, printing, and binding

  • Monitor front desk and office access for employees and guests

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner

  • Resupply and stock kitchen and pantry items

  • Unbox, store, and organize office supply deliveries

  • Order office and kitchen supplies as needed

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including wiping surfaces and unloading the dishwasher

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding office repairs or building maintenance

  • Conduct daily office walkthroughs to ensure organization, cleanliness, and identify any issues


Basic Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)

Experience

  • One (1) or more year/s of experience in office services, facilities, or a similar role (required)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required)


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work fully on-site as required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional, polished appearance and demeanor for client-facing interactions

  • Ability to adapt communication style to effectively engage diverse audiences

  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment with strong attention to detail



Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
