Hi there!


We are actively looking to add a Certified Payroll Specialist/Accountant to our expanding team in our Sacramento, CA office!


We’re a well-established construction firm and due to growth in our company we need to add to our staff to help our sustained growth and improve our accounting functionality overall!


While the main function of the job would be handling our certified payroll, this is a bit of a hybrid role that would require the candidate to have exposure to general accounting functions as this position would support other areas of need in our department (hence the Construction Accountant job post title)!

  • This is a contract to hire role


  • The compensation for the role is $35.00-$42.00 per hour DOE


  • We are currently working an in-office schedule in our Sacramento, CA office

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Certified Payroll/Labor Compliance (CPR)


  • General Ledger functions


  • Reconciliations


  • Assisting with AP/AR


  • Approvals and tracking of Subcontractor CPRs submitted for projects.


  • Communication with Owners/Subcontractors on CPR requirements and submissions for duration of prevailing wage jobs.


  • Backup for main company submission of Federal and state taxes


  • Handling payroll inquiries from employees and outside agencies.


  • Report creation and distribution


REQUIREMENTS



  • At least 3 years of construction industry accounting experience


  • At least 1 year of certified (union) payroll experience


  • Prefer a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience with Labor Compliance reporting, preferably related to the construction industry.


  • Proficiency in LCP Tracker, DIR upload experience preferred.


  • Sage 300 (Timberline) experience nice to have
