Contract Systems Administrator - Infrastructure & Security Support
Position Type: Contract (3 months)
Level: Systems Administrator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced contract Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure and Security team for a focused 3-month engagement. This role combines hands-on technical support with project leadership, requiring expertise in Windows administration, security tools, and enterprise identity management.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus Areas:
Manage and resolve Windows Admin support tickets with quick turnaround times
Provide backup support for Security queue incidents and requests
Lead BeyondTrust Password Safe rollout project from planning through implementation
Reconfigure existing BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Management deployment
Perform Entra ID (Azure AD) administration including user provisioning, group management, and access reviews
Monitor and maintain backup infrastructure, ensuring successful job completion and troubleshooting failures
Additional Duties:
Collaborate with infrastructure team on system maintenance and upgrades
Document processes and create knowledge transfer materials
Participate in security assessments and remediation efforts
Provide escalation support for complex technical issues
Required Qualifications
5+ years Windows Server administration experience
Proven experience with BeyondTrust Password Safe and Endpoint Privilege Management
Strong background in Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD administration
Experience with enterprise backup solutions
Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects independently
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Security-related certifications (Security+, etc.)
PowerShell scripting experience
Experience in fast-paced enterprise environments
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 3 months with potential for extension based on project needs
Compensation: $45-60/hr (position would move to $105k annually upon conversion)
