Workday HCM Systems Analyst (Contract – 4 Months, Remote)
Location: 100% Remote (preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone)
Contract Length: 4 months, with potential for extension
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Workday HCM Systems Analyst to step into a critical backfill position supporting key FDM retrofit and deployment transition projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on Workday professional who enjoys both technical configuration and strategic collaboration within a large, enterprise-level HRIS environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary system administrator for Workday HCM, including configuration, testing, and maintenance across multiple modules.
Support and lead transitions, data migrations, and FDM retrofit initiatives while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, and HRIS leadership to coordinate changes across a 9-member HRIS team.
Act as a consultative partner—identify opportunities for system optimization rather than waiting for assigned tasks.
Develop and maintain documentation, data standards, and governance processes.
Liaise with vendors and internal IT to improve system performance and support new functionality.
Train and support end-users to ensure smooth adoption of new configurations.
Mentor and coach peers to promote technical knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of direct Workday HCM experience, including hands-on configuration and system administration.
Proven track record supporting large enterprise environments—healthcare or unionized organizations preferred.
Strong background in data migration, EIB loads, and deployment transitions.
Familiarity with additional Workday modules (Compensation, Security, Reporting) is a plus.
Experience with Smartsheet or Jira preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Workday certification preferred but not required.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $64.00 per hour
