Position Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Jr. Accountant to join their team. This role involves processing and analyzing accounts payable, provisions, and cash receipts related to our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and provisions accurately and promptly.


  • Verify expense account coding and ensure consistency across databases.


  • Review all documentation and information to ensure proper and accurate entry


  • Resolve any issues with accounts payable invoices by communicating with internal and external staff


  • Manage and reconcile monthly credit card statements and receipts.


  • Perform various reconciliations and prepare month-end journal entries and accruals.


  • Complete ad-hoc projects, analyses, and tasks as requested by management.


  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders


  • Maintain compliance with company policies and internal controls for accounting records.


Qualifications:



  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or general accounting


  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS preferred)


  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
