LHH is looking to fill a Direct Hire Senior Payroll Accountant position in San Diego, CA! This role is within an organization that functions in multiple states across the US and wants to find someone with strong supervisory experience. Qualified candidates will have minimum of 4 years of experience in Payroll. In addition, qualified candidates will understand the manual aspects of payroll, and related month-end payroll journal entries and taxes. This is also a great paying job, offering a full medical, dental vision package, 401k plus company match component, healthy PTO and bonus potential!
RESPONSIBILITIES OF SR. PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT JOB
· Process payroll for 2000+ employees – weekly, biweekly and semi-monthly
· Familiar with state and multistate laws and taxes, including all CA aspects.
· Post month-end payroll entries and related taxes.
· Assist with software implementations and documenting SOPs.
· Direct and supervise existing staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
· MUST have four years minimum of Payroll experience.
· Experience with UKG is preferred (or similar payroll platforms).
· Ability to collaborate with HR Manager and CHRO.
· Organized, energetic, accurate and detail oriented!
