Responsibilities of this Staff Accountant position include:

• Record and post journal entries with appropriate documentation, ensuring accuracy, proper classification, and compliance with GAAP.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and identify variances.

• Analyze financial data and develop metrics to support monthly close.

• Provide support for financial consolidations and intercompany activity.

• Help maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve close timelines, strengthen reporting controls, increase process efficiency, and enhance financial insight.

• Support quarterly and annual audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and requested documentation.

• Respond to special projects or ad hoc reporting requests as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.

• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience and familiarity working with Excel.

• Prior experience in financial services, insurance, or public accounting is a plus.

• Analytical with good research skills.

• Detail oriented, good communication skills able to effectively communicate with teams and different departments.
