Director of Finance & Accounting
Full-time | On-site | Bellevue, WA
A confidential organization is seeking a Director of Accounting & Finance to oversee all accounting, finance, and administrative operations. This position leads a multi-functional team of up to 8 and partners closely with executive leadership to support organizational performance, financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage accounting, finance, tax, payroll, insurance, and administrative functions in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all compliance requirements, reporting, and licensing obligations.
Maintain and enforce internal policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback for team members.
Partner with leadership to provide operational and financial insights.
Guide the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department leaders.
Oversee Accounts Payable to ensure approvals and payments are handled accurately and on time.
Lead tax compliance and reporting activities.
Manage financial audits and coordinate quarterly, interim, and annual audit deliverables.
Oversee cash forecasting and reporting requirements.
Develop and document financial policies, procedures, and process improvements.
Use financial analysis and reporting to support decision‑making and improve financial outcomes.
Oversee staff that manages the daily office administrative operations, including office management and general office maintenance.
Oversee IT and HR leadership to ensure administrative support aligns with organizational needs.
Work Environment:
On-site Monday - Friday position located in Bellevue, WA.
Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Typical working hours range from 40-45 hours a week.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
CPA required.
10 - 20+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience for either a mid or large sized organization.
Strong U.S. GAAP experience, including consolidated reporting, tax, and audit.
Proven history of managing teams ranging from 4 - 10 in accounting, finance, administration (HR) or operational support.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with utilizing ERP systems to drive insights and performance.
Ability to support both day‑to‑day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits (Washington State Required Disclosure)
The expected base salary range for this role is $175,000K - $200,000K per year. Salary ranges are highly dependent on direct experience to responsibilities, qualifications and direct industry experience.
