Transactional Legal Secretary (San Francisco, CA)
LHH is teaming up with a well‑established law firm in San Francisco, CA in search of a Transactional Legal Secretary to support a team of attorneys with document‑heavy transactional work.
This role supports attorneys by preparing, revising, and finalizing high‑volume transactional documents with a strong emphasis on accuracy and execution. The organization offers a collaborative, professional environment where quality work and accountability are highly valued. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on document work, works well under deadlines, and takes pride in delivering polished work product. The role offers long‑term stability and the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals.
The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented. They bring prior experience supporting attorneys or senior professionals in a document‑focused role and can manage multiple requests at once without sacrificing accuracy. This person is adaptable, professional, and approaches their work with a positive, team‑first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, edit, revise, and redline transactional documents and agreements
Review documents against attorney markups and instructions to ensure accuracy
Manage document version control and maintain organized electronic files
Coordinate closely with attorneys and internal document support teams
Handle administrative support tasks related to document preparation and workflow
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a legal secretary, administrative, or document‑heavy support role (law firm experience strongly preferred)
Extensive experience with document editing, redlining, and revisions
Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe; experience with legal document management systems is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Job Type: Direct hire
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA (2 days from home, 3 days on-site per week)
Hours: Full‑time, standard business hours
Pay Rate: $75,000 – $85,000 annually
