LHH is actively seeking a Retirement Projects Consultant to lead strategic retirement and benefits initiatives that directly impact the financial future of employees for one of our top clients! From plan consolidations to regulatory compliance, this role is key to delivering operational excellence and trusted partnership across HR and Finance functions. What You’ll Do
🔹 Project Leadership
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex benefits projects—including retirement plan consolidations, vendor transitions, regulatory initiatives, and system integrations. Own the timeline, align stakeholders, and deliver results with accuracy and impact.
🔹 Strategic Execution
Partner with internal teams, brokers, and vendors to manage plan amendments, compliance filings, restatements, and participant communications—ensuring operational processes support project goals.
🔹 Regulatory Compliance
Monitor ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other relevant regulations to ensure full compliance across all retirement and benefits initiatives. Report findings and maintain high standards of legal accuracy.
🔹 Data & Analysis
Use data-driven insights to support decision-making. Research plan designs, evaluate vendor performance, and analyze participant data to identify opportunities for improvement.
🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and service providers to coordinate transactions, deductions, remittances, and reconciliations. Ensure seamless communication and documentation across departments.
🔹 Committee Support
Support Retirement Plan Committee meetings by preparing materials, capturing follow-ups, and contributing to strategic discussions about benefit programs.
What You Bring
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
CEBS, QPA, or similar professional certification preferred
Experience:
5+ years in retirement plan administration (Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution)
5+ years in full-cycle benefits administration
3+ years working with recordkeeping platforms (e.g., Fidelity, Voya, Principal, T. Rowe Price)
Proven experience leading benefits-related projects
Skills & Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of retirement plan operations and benefits strategy
Strong understanding of ERISA and related regulatory frameworks
Advanced Excel and analytical skills; strong documentation and presentation capabilities
High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
