This role is responsible for ensuring accurate application of payments, handling default and exception processing, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve research requests for the Cashiering department
• Complete NSF and return item reversals
• Ensure accurate application of all incoming payments, including:
  • ACH payments
  • Wire transfers
  • Lockbox payments
  • Online and manually posted payments
• Establish bi-weekly payment plans and process loan payoffs
• Perform daily balancing activities
• Process necessary wire transfers
• Receive, sort, and process daily mail and system reports
• Process payments across all loan types
• Handle loan maintenance including:
  • Rewrites and cram downs
  • Change-in-terms agreements
  • Subordinations and bankruptcies
  • Due date changes
  • ACH setup
  • Extensions and address changes
• Balance Western Union and MoneyGram reports
• Handle lockbox rejects, when applicable
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in loan servicing
• Cashiering experience preferred
• Working knowledge of title requirements across all 50 states
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, start-up environment
• Strong judgment, integrity, and work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with neat, organized, and professional work habits
