Accounts Receivable Clerk (8-Month Contract, Hybrid – Seattle, WA)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day AR operations for a Seattle-based organization. This hybrid, 8-month contract role will focus on billing, cash application, collections support, and maintaining accurate customer accounts. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working with deadlines and detailed financial data.

Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Compensation
$25–$33 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit cards) to accounts
Reconcile customer accounts and research payment discrepancies
Assist with collections efforts, including follow-ups on past-due balances
Maintain accurate AR aging reports and customer records
Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status
Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Assist with AR reporting and audit support as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or accounting coursework a plus
1–3 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience
Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Dynamics, or similar preferred)
Basic to intermediate Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with billing, cash application, or collections
Prior contract or temporary accounting experience
Exposure to month-end close or audit support
