Senior Accountant

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 9-month contract
Compensation: $45–$60 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team on a 9-month contract basis. This hybrid role is based in Seattle and will support core accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end and quarter-end close processes

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports

• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

• Identify process improvements and assist with accounting projects as needed

• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting

• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting

• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred

• CPA or CPA-track a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
