Do you enjoy finding ways to make improvements in being able to report on the key factors that drive the business? If that sounds like you, our client is looking for a Controller like you to take over from their current leader who is retiring.
Position: Controller
Salary: $140K - $165K DOE + bonus that could sweeten your quarter (up to 7% based on wages earned in that quarter)
Location: Sumner, WA
Onsite: Monday – Friday
Work schedule: Preference to early hours which means leaving earlier as well!
Primary focus of this position:
Learn the business, existing processes, and overall, start managing the financial reporting packages with accuracy and efficiency, making sure every number is correct.
Create monthly and annual operating budgets with attention to strategy on short- and long-term growth.
Supervise a small but effective team that handles cost accounting, bi-weekly payroll (< 100 of employees), AP, and AR.
Oversee cost tracking for manufacturing and have a key role in enhancing ERP system work centers, WIP, and routing, post a successful Tier 2 ERP migration.
Perform KPI, FP&A, forecasting, and data analysis for company expansion!
Work with ownership on tax strategies, investments, and cash flow.
What Makes You Stand Out:
5+ years of Accounting & Finance leadership experience with directly manufacturing industry experience.
3+ years of direct leadership / mentorship
FP&A fluency (budgeting, modeling, forecasting, etc.) because numbers are your second language.
KPI development and tracking, because you love a good success metric with an additional curiosity for learning a new ERP
Cost accounting knowledge as it relates to WIP, COGS, and Inventory
