LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a corporate retailer in Tempe. This organization is in search of an accounting clerk to join their team. This job is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and will have hybrid potential after 3-4 months of fully onsite work.
The Accounting Clerk will assist with the maintenance of financial records, processing transactions, and providing support for the overall accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Assist in payroll processing and related documentation.
- Maintain filing systems for financial records and reports.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Support other accounting functions and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus).
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in a corporate or retail setting.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
