Job Description

Tempe, AZ (Onsite, Monday–Friday)

$28-$30HR

We are seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our growing team inTempe, AZ. This is a full-time, in-office role where you will be responsible for managing payroll and supporting accounting functions with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain and reconcile payroll accounts, including journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of balance sheet accounts.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address payroll and accounting inquiries.
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and audit readiness for payroll and accounting activities.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of payroll and accounting experience, including general ledger and reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting/payroll systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
