Accounting Manager
$120-150K base salary (DOE)

Location:
This position is onsite and must be performed primarily onsite in southwest Portland
Hours/Schedule:
Full-time, standard business hours. Expect a 45–50 hour work week, with additional hours during peak periods.
Team Description:
This role reports to the Controller and collaborates closely with executive leadership. The team includes senior and staff accountants, accounts payable, warranty, and payroll professionals, and is known for its collaborative, high-performance culture.
This job in a nutshell:
Lead and mentor a team of accountants across multiple locations, overseeing the monthly close process and ensuring accountability for deliverables
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls, including documentation and checklist creation
Standardize accounting processes across divisions and support system upgrades and integrations
Oversee inventory and freight accounting, and participate in future acquisition activities
Collaborate with the Controller on special projects and cross-functional initiatives
Foster a positive, productive environment during periods of change and growth
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (public accounting background and technical expertise highly valued)
CPA REQUIRED
5+ years of experience with a strong working knowledge of the general ledger and close process
Recent experience in management, supervision, or team leadership, with a passion for mentoring and developing others
Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and FASB Accounting Standards
Experience with large ERP systems preferred
Ability to stay positive and productive during organizational change
Advanced Excel skills and comfort with new technologies
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
