Direct Hire Paralegal/Legal Secretary Role

Are you an experienced paralegal/litigation secretary interested in a full-time position in South Bay area, CA? Our client, a law firm, is seeking an experienced litigation paralegals with secretary experience to provide high-level legal support to a team of attorneys. The right candidate is professional, tech savvy and able to handle multiple priorities and work in an organized, efficient manner. The successful candidate will effectively manage all aspects of the professional responsibilities of the assigned attorneys.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • An experienced litigation legal secretary with 5+years of experience is required. Coordination of discovery shells, creation of legal documents as well as the editing, proofreading, and processing of legal documents upon request of assigned attorneys, including correspondence, memoranda, discovery, MSJ, pleadings, or other practice specific documents

  • Strong experience with state and federal e-filing (both paper & electronic), manual calendaring (outlook), supporting 3 to 4 attorneys. Preference is defense litigation, TOA/TOC, collaborating with staff regarding Administrative Support for paralegals and attorneys.

  • Assists with overflow work and other special projects as assigned.

  • Knowledge of Outlook, Compu law, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of solid litigation secretary experience

  • Strong experience with state/federal e filing, calendaring, TOA/TOC.

Responsibilities:

  • Discovery, arbitrations, and trials in complex cases.

  • Draft complex legal documents.

  • Federal and state e-filing.

Experience:

  • 3+ years as a litigation paralegal with trial experience (defense).

  • eDiscovery experience.

  • Experience with Relativity, Westlaw, and Lexis/Nexis.

  • Experience with Cite-Checking and Blue Booking.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal Certificate highly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Flexible work environment offering hybrid in office 3Days /2Days from home schedules after 60day probationary period.

    • Compensation $80,000-100,000k DOE
