The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including benefits administration, compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, employee relations, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct onboarding and new-employee orientations.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Manage employee relations and ensure fair and consistent enforcement of policies and procedures.
Handle FMLA, STD, LTD, COBRA, 401(k), and health benefits administration.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Personal Attributes:
Strong communication skills and the ability to empathize while enforcing policies.
Multi-tasker who can wear many hats and act as a liaison between upper management and employees.
Comfortable answering questions and providing customer service.
Career Advancement Opportunities:
The HR Generalist can move into specialized roles such as benefits, employee relations, or training and development.
