LHH is assisting a well‑established law firm in its search for a Litigation & Education Law Paralegal to support a busy team representing public school districts and education agencies. This role sits within a collaborative litigation practice and provides direct support to attorneys handling education, public agency, labor and employment, and administrative matters.

The paralegal will partner closely with attorneys and district‑level stakeholders, taking ownership of litigation support, administrative filings, and detailed case management for a wide range of education‑related issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and administrative filings.


  • Support matters involving employment and labor disputes, personal injury, student issues, premises liability, and public records requests.

  • Draft and file Government Claims Act documents; maintain claim deadlines and follow‑up communications.

  • E‑file documents in state and federal courts.

  • Assist with filings before agencies including OAH, PERB, and the California Department of Education.

    • Maintain litigation calendars, including hearings, depositions, board meetings, IEP‑related disputes, and administrative deadlines.


  • Track statutes of limitation, board cycles, and case‑specific timelines.

  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files in accordance with firm and public‑agency compliance standards.

  • Draft correspondence, including routine letters to district administrators and communication with opposing counsel.

  • Assist with trial and hearing preparation, including exhibit binders, hearing packets, subpoenas, and witness lists.

    • Serve as a professional point of contact for superintendents, district administrators, HR leaders, principals, and board clerks.


  • Coordinate meetings involving multiple district stakeholders and consultants.

  • Assist with matter creation and attorney billing within the firm’s case‑management systems.

    Compensation:

    $75,000- $95,000, non-exempt


  • Eligibility for discretionary annual bonuses

  • Standard billable hour expectations for paralegal roles

  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off

  • CLE, professional development, and relevant bar/paralegal dues support (as applicable)



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
