We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Temp Leasing Agent to join our client’s team for a contract position in Watsonville, CA. You’ll be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the property, including key areas of responsibility like fiscal management, compliance, facilities, risk management, and resident relations. Position Title: Temporary Leasing Agent Contract until December 14, 2024 Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30 pm Location: Watsonville, CA Pay range: $25-30 DOE Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial interviews with applicants, reaching out to potential candidates, and compiling applicant files for review.
- Handling incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Offering a warm welcome to applicants, residents, and vendors.
- Assisting in promotional activities alongside the Community Manager and/or Leasing Director, such as distributing marketing materials and monitoring marketing initiatives.
- Meeting with prospective tenants and guiding them on tours of available units.
- Ensuring all rental applications are completed accurately and thoroughly.
- Supporting the Community Manager and/or Leasing Director in inputting pre-applications into the waitlist software system.
- Contacting waitlisted applicants for vacant units and keeping track of their responses.
- Assisting with scheduling certification appointments and organizing applicant files for approval.
- Initiating the background screening and approval process for rental applications.
- Managing resident work orders and maintaining an organized Work Order Logbook.
- Drafting and delivering general notices as necessary under the guidance of the Community Manager.
- Handling rent payments and security deposits under the supervision of the Community Manager.
- Organizing and filing pertinent documents into resident files.
- Coordinating resident social gatherings and communications.
- Undertaking any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Tax Credit a plus but no required
- Prior property management, affordable housing, or leasing experience preferred
