LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking to fill a Senior Cost Analyst – Government Contracts position for a leading organization in the advanced manufacturing sector, specializing in high-performance materials for aerospace, defense, and automotive applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, and advanced Excel skills. Senior Cost Analyst responsibilities will include:
Deliver analytical, forecasting, and reporting support to management.
Develop, monitor, and maintain program budgets for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare monthly billings, financial reports, and variance analyses.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations (FAR, DFARS, GAAP).
Collaborate with project leads to align financial and operational goals.
Enhance financial tools and reporting systems for efficiency.
Manage revenue recognition and present findings to stakeholders.
Support annual incurred cost proposals and assist with audits.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards.
Handle ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, or similar roles.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data presentation) and Microsoft Office.
